Sticky Honey-Chili Chicken Diablo with Fiery Caramelized Glaze
Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
3 cloves garlic, minced
Honey-Chili Glaze:
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
Garnish:
Green onions, thinly sliced
Fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions:
Pat chicken thighs dry and season evenly with salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear chicken thighs for 4–5 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Lower heat to medium and add garlic to the same pan, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes.
Pour glaze into the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy.
Return chicken to the pan and toss until fully coated in the sticky sauce.
Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize and cling to the chicken.
Transfer to a serving platter, spoon extra glaze over the top, and garnish with green onions and cilantro.
