Crispy Flavor-Packed Chicken Tenderloins
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs chicken tenderloins
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil, for frying
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions:
In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken tenderloins and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours refrigerated).
In a shallow dish, mix flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, dip into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in panko breadcrumbs.
Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Fry chicken in batches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.
